Hello, World.
The first post on my new site, why I rebuilt it, what I'm aiming for, and what comes next.

Every developer eventually rebuilds their personal site. This is mine.
Why I rebuilt it
My old site had grown into something that tried to do too much. Portfolio, resume, showcase, blog, all smashed together. Every time I opened it I felt like I was looking at someone else's website.
I wanted something simpler. A place to write, to share what I'm working on, and to have a corner of the internet that actually feels like me.
What this site is
This site has three things:
- Writing where I share thoughts on software engineering, side projects, and whatever else I'm thinking about.
- Projects a running list of things I'm building.
- A simple about page who I am, what I do, how to reach me.
That's it.
How it's built
The stack is pretty straightforward:
- Next.js 16 with the App Router and React Server Components
- Tailwind CSS v4 for styling
- Supabase for view counts and comments
- MDX so I can drop React components into posts
- Framer Motion for subtle page transitions
I wanted to use tools I'd actually enjoy working with, not the most impressive ones.
What comes next
More posts. That's the whole point.
I have a backlog of things I've been meaning to write about. Lessons from building side projects, thoughts on engineering culture, notes on tools and frameworks I find interesting.
Writing in public is uncomfortable at first. You hit publish and immediately think of five things you should have said differently. But that discomfort is part of it.
So hello, world. Let's see where this goes.
